Obituary for the LateIda Sarah PeartPEART, Ida Sarah (97), Canso Seaside Manor and formerly of Tor Bay, Guysborough County, died Monday, January 25, 2010 in the home. Born in New Harbour, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Greencorn) Luddington. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A homemaker all of her life, Ida loved to cook and take care of her family. She is survived by son Gilbert (Carol), Tor Bay; daughters Hilda Sangster, Dorothy Kaiser, both of Guysborough; grandchildren Harry Webber, Raymond Webber, Judy Hayne, Gregory Sangster, 12 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 78 years Chester; daughter Doris; brothers Oliver, Colburn, Simon, Henry; sister Willena; grandchildren Glen Sangster and Peter Webber. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11am in Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
