Cumminger, Ivan Frederick Age 81, of Liscomb, Guysborough County passed away  peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. A heartfelt thank you to all of the St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital staff for their genuine compassion and care. Born in Lochaber Mines, he was a son of the late James and Estelle (MacDonald) Cumminger. Ivan is survived by sons, Stephen (Sonia), Middle Sackville; James (Patricia), Victoria, British Columbia; daughters, Elaine Henderson, Dawson City, Yukon; Linda (Joseph) Niedzielski, Sooke, British Columbia; grandchildren, Brian, Craig, Melissa and James Paul Cumminger, Kyley, Stephen and James Henderson, Ryan (Elisabeth) Fogarty, great granddaughter, Bree-Ella Cumminger,  brothers, Dale, Donald and Garth Morehouse,  many nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by sisters, Margaret McGinn and Sandra Slater. In keeping with Ivan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Sherbrooke with Rev. Derek Elsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, 91 Hospital Road, Sherbrooke, N.S. B0J 3C0. Arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
