WALSH, Valerie Ann, Age 55, Country Harbour, Guysborough Co., and formerly of Trenton, Pictou Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Sandra MacMillan and the late John Walsh. Valerie is survived by her mother, Sandra and stepfather Ed MacMillan, Trenton; daughter, Sandra Walsh, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Freeman, Anne Marie, David Jr., Mark, brothers, Ronnie (Margie), Trenton; Bill (Pam), Sarnia, Ontario; sisters, Sharon, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Joann, Edmonton, Alberta; Pearl (Lewis), Trenton; Karen (Doug), Truro; Kim, New Glasgow; special stepdaughter, Christina MacDonald, Antigonish; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by son, John, sisters, Kenda and Carla MacMillan. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Kids First.
