Doiron, Edmund "Emmie" James Age 77, of Tor Bay, Guys. Co., passed away in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish on Monday, October 17, 2016. He was a son of the late John and Helena "Lena" (Casey) Doiron. Edmund worked with the Coast Guard, and as a fisherman. He enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, fishing, picking berries and playing cards. Edmund is survived by his wife, Muriel; sons, Leland (Marilyn) Kirby, MacPherson’s Mills; Darrell (Lorraine) Doiron, Tor Bay, Earl Munroe, B.C.; grandchildren; Kayla (Stephen) Kirby, Shelby (Josh) Kirby, Ralene (Matthieu) Doiron, Matthew Hendsbee, Jeshua Munroe, Desiree Wilson; great-grandchildren, Parker, Lukus, Ava, Noah; brothers, Russell (Stella), Frankie (Marilyn), Kenneth (Eileen), sisters, Bertha Doiron, Lorna Cashin; Rita (Georgie) Grover, Shirley (Joe) Pettipas; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brother-in-law Roddie Cashin.  Visitation will be held in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Charlos Cove on Friday, October 21 from 5 - 9pm and from where funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 2 pm with Rev. Danny MacLennan officiating.  Burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Family Flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the CNIB or a charity of your choice.
