Elizabeth grew tired so
our Lord has taken her home on March 23, 2017. She was
surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her
passing. Born in Canso, Margaret Elizabeth was the youngest
daughter of Enos & Cecille (Bellefontaine)
Greencorn. Living in Pictou, she was a member of Stella
Maris Parish and CWL. She had been a teacher’s
helper in Religious Education for several years. Elizabeth
was employed with Pictou Advocate. Elizabeth loved life, her
children, angel collection, a good game of bingo, and a good cup of
tea at Tim’s with her friends. She will be sadly
missed by her children, Joeigh, Halifax; Kimberlee and Edward, at
home; step-daughter, Amy, Lake Echo; and step-son, Jeff, Tantallon;
two granddaughters, Teagan & Madelyn. She is
survived by her soul-mate, Joe Roberts; her parents, Enos &
Cecille, Port Felix; her only sister, Laurena, New Glasgow; aunt
Brenda; loving niece and nephews, grand nieces and nephew; and her
friend, Amanda MacLean. We would like to extend our
appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses of 5th
Floor, Palliative Care, Aberdeen Hospital, especially Rachael and
Jackie who made the family’s last night very
comfortable. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM
Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Elizabeth will then
be going home to Port Felix for visitation 2-4 & 7-9 PM
Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, where Funeral
Mass will be held 11 AM Wednesday with Father Dan MacDonald
officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a
later date. No flowers by request of the family.
