MacLeod (Grover), Helen Viola
Age 97of Halifax and formerly of Boylston and Cole
Harbour, Guysborough County passed away peacefully, with her family by
her side, on Sunday, April 9, 2017, in Arborstone Enhanced Care,
Halifax. Helen was a daughter of the late Abner and Willma (Munroe)
Munroe. Helen was a member of the former St. Bartholomew Anglican
Church, Cole Harbour. She made many friends through her church and
work at the fish plant. After moving to Halifax she enjoyed many
evenings at O'Carrols enjoying music surrounded by friends and family.
She loved cats and gardening; everyone loved her. She is
survived by son, Earl (Helen) Grover, Halifax; several nieces and
nephews and a goddaughter. Helen was predeceased by her first husband
Clarence Grover; second husband, Duncan MacLeod; brother, Everett, one
brother in infancy; sisters, Evelyn, Grace, Alverta, Rhoda, Catherine.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3 at 2 p.m. in
Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay with Rev. Susan Slater
officiating. Interment to follow in St. Bartholomew Anglican Cemetery,
Cole Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer
