RICHARD, Diane Mary Age 74of Charlos Cove, Guysborough County passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, May 8, 2017, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Lundy, she was a daughter of the late George and Clara (Avery) Gerrior. She married her husband Francis and moved to Charlos Cove where they raised their family. Momma-bear loved her Bingos and card plays with all of her dear friends; she especially loved Sunday dinners surrounded by her family. We will truly miss her sharp wit which she shared with us to the end. She is survived by sons, Hughie (Annette), Cook's Cove; Donald (Darlene), Ottawa; daughters, Geneve, Charlos Cove; Brenda (Dennis), Charlos Cove; Hazel (George), Larry's River; grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Jennifer (James), Aaron (Karla), Tyler (Natalie), Travis (Tara), Tristan (Erin), Tynneil (her dog Sadie), Matlock (Alana), Michael (Susan), Marcie (Theston), Margaret (Bruce); 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona (Billy), Jean (Kenneth), Linda (Ian) and Helen with whom she shared daily phone chats; brothers, Irving (Elaine), Henry (Nancy) and Michael; many nieces, nephews and special friend Lucy. Diane was predeceased by her husband Francis; son, Junior; son-in-law, Thornton. There will be no visitation by request, funeral service will be held Saturday, May 13 at 12 noon in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Charlos Cove with Father Danny MacLennan officiating. Committal to follow in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
