Reeves, Lena "Martha" Age 94, South Lochaber, Guysborough County passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Jordanville, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Sarah (Bennett) Jordan. Martha was an adherent of Bethel Community Church, South Lochaber. She was a retired domestic worker and was a devoted housewife and mother. She is survived by daughters, Carol Helin, South Lochaber; Donna Helin, Aspen; Janet (William) Smith, Eight Island Lake; Lee Day (Harvey Duff), Trenton; sons, Kendall (Judy),Sackville; James (Judy), Newtown; Douglas, Pictou Landing; Henry (Mabel), Hopewell; half-sister, Margaret Fraser, East River St. Mary’s; countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; daughter, Kathleen; son, Wayne; sons-in-law, Michael Helin & Raymond Helin; 3 grandchildren; brother, Elmore;  half-brother, Wallace; sister, Adessa MacDonald; half-sister, Myra Hingley. Visitation will be held today, Monday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bethel Community Church, South Lochaber, from where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Freda Steeves officiating. Interment in Birchhill Cemetery, South Lochaber. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Martha’s family.
