KENNEDY, Ian Hugh Carroll "Carl" Of Argyle, Guysborough County, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, September, 9, 2018 in his 80th year. Born in Antigonish, he was the youngest son of the late Fred and Alma (Cousins) Kennedy. After a few years in Ontario, he came home in 1963 to his first full time job in Nova Scotia with R.P.CameronTransport Ltd. In 1970, he formed his own company, Carl Kennedy Trucking Ltd. which he ran for thirty years. He continued driving for other operators until 2016, a trucking career that spanned 53 years. Carl came to know his Lord and Saviour in 1979 and was a founding member of Goshen Gospel Church where he served as an Elder. He was devoted and faithful to his Lord, his church, his family and his community. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hazel (Feltmate); sons, Brent (Nancy), Glenelg; Scott (Wendy), Bow Island, Alta.; Adam (Cathy), Blues Mills; Carl (Tina), Giant’s Lake; grandchildren, Cody (Hayley), Connor, Tanner, Lauren, Morgan, Logan, Jaron, Addisyn, Laken, Veronica; great-grandchildren, Rowan, Jude, Huxley; sisters, Muriel Kennedy, Antigonish; Jean (Rod) Chisholm, Antigonish; sister-in-law, Jean Kennedy, Antigonish; several nieces, nephews and their families. Carl was predeceased by brothers, Charlie and Stanley Kennedy, Victor Cousins; sister, Nellie Kennedy. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. in Goshen Gospel Church. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in King’s United Church, Loch Katrine, with Pastor John Luten officiating. Interment in Sunset Cemetery, Argyle. Family flowers only please.
