Alexander, Sharon "Lynne" Age 72, of Eight Island Lake, Guysborough County passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 after a brave battle with cancer. She decided to join her father, on his 100th birthday, in heaven. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Wanda (Henry) and the late Arthur Goodyer. Lynne is survived by her children, Arthur (Angie), Leduc, Alberta; Wanda (David) Costigan, Antigonish; Jeffrey (Angie) Goshen; grandchildren, Ava, Madison, Aaron; longtime companion, Edmund Langille, through this relationship Lynne gained more children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by her mother, Wanda Goodyer, Dartmouth; sister and best friend, Noreen Banks, Whites Lake; sisters, Leslie Fleet, Regina, Saskatchewan; Margaret (Terry) Shay, Beamsville, Ontario; Susan (David) Hendsbee, Westphal; Dena (Oliver) Goodyer, Kitchener, Ontario; brother, William (Joanne) Goodyer, Yarmouth; sister-in-law, Gloria Goodyer, Goshen; many nieces,  nephews, cousins and many-many special friends.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie "Butch" Alexander; daughter, Rhonda Lynne in infancy; brother, Arthur Goodyer. In keeping with Lynne’s wishes cremation has taken place, and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Donations in Lynne’s memory may be made to St. Martha's Regional Hospital Palliative Care or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
