Jordan, Harold Silver Age 83, of
Sonora, Guysborough Co., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in
St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in
Jordanville, Harold was a son of the late Freeman and Nina (Rudolph)
Jordan. Harold was a lobster fisherman for 60 years. He also did
carpentry and masonry work in the off season. In his younger years, he
enjoyed hunting with his friend, Terry Taylor and their dogs. He was
the original captain of the Marine Hockey League for Indian Harbour
Lake. Harold enjoyed watching his grandsons play hockey and his
granddaughters figure skate. He cherished and adored his
great-grandson Caleb. He and Audrey made many friends camping and
attending country music festivals throughout Nova Scotia. He is
survived by his wife, Audrey (Burns); son, Thane (Cindy); daughter,
Debbie (Glen) Bingley; grandchildren, Kale (Michelle), Cody
(Brittany), Shanna (Justin), Justine (Eric); great-grandson, Caleb
Bingley; brothers, Ernest and Raymond; sister, Gladys (Edward) Hughes;
sister-in-law, Joan Jordan, several nieces, nephews and their
families. He was predeceased by brothers, Alvin and Leonard;
sisters-in-law, Barbara and Leta Jordan. Visitation will be held
Monday from 6-8 p.m. in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, St. Mary’s
Chapel, Sherbrooke. A family graveside service will take place at a
later date in Riverside Cemetery, Sonora. Memorial donations may be
