The family is sad to announce the passing of Charlotte Rose Sangster on Monday, May 13, 2019, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.  A wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to so many is now our angel in heaven. Born in Cross Roads Country Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mamie (Salsman) Hudson. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Denton Sangster, children, Cindy Sangster (Jody Dick), Water Valley, Alberta; Stephen Sangster and his wife Heidi "her second daughter", Waterville. Her pride and joy, grandkids and great grandkids, "Big Nanny", to Ryan Davis Sangster (Nancy Cleveland); Justin Lee Sangster (Breanna Hall); great-grandchildren, Danika, Chayton and Aria.  Too numerous to mention, her nieces, nephews, in-laws and their families who filled her life and home with laughter. Charlotte was predeceased by her brother, John Lewis Hudson, and two sisters, Alice Elizabeth Field and Charlotte Louise. Charlotte graduated from Mack Business College in Kentville in 1957 and started her career in Halifax the next year.  She worked as an administrator, secretary, and manager for various businesses and financial institutions, until her retirement from SunLife of Canada in Antigonish, and then moved back to her family home in Country Harbour with Denton.  Charlotte was a very strong supporter and member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Country Harbour, where this Sunday’s, May 19, 9:00 am service will be dedicated in Charlotte’s memory. Interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, Charlotte and the family respectively ask that donations in her name be made to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.  There are no words to express and thank you does not go far enough for the care, attention, respect and love shown to Charlotte and her family  during her short stay.  Donations may also be made to her other home, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Country Harbour.Without wanting to miss anyone, Charlotte’s family would like to send their love and say "Thank You" to everyone who shared in this beautiful lady’s life, her care, and her passing.  For the family it warms our hearts to know she was so loved by so many. Lewis and Shelley of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour have been tasked with looking after Charlotte and her arrangements until her interment. On line condolences may be made at www.gwgiffin.com.
