McGrath, Anita Marie Age 49, of
Wine Harbour, passed away in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital,
Sherbrooke on Friday, June 14, 2019. Born in Antigonish, she was a
daughter of Gloria (Sangster) and the late Russell MacIntosh. Over the
years Anita worked at local fish plants; as a cashier; and developing
the archives program at Historic Sherbrooke Village. Anita’s
grandchildren were very special to her. She loved her dog, Jack,
playing bingo, and going to the camp. Anita is survived by her
husband, Mark; sons, Brandon (Kelsey), Liscomb Mills, Devon,
Stillwater; grandchildren, Brayden, Logan; brother, Wayne (Donna)
Sangster, their children, Ryan and Carly, Guysborough; sister, Gail
(Keith) Robinson, their daughter, Katelyn, Stillwater; mother-in-law,
Ruby McGrath, Fort McMurray, AB.; special brother-in-law and
sister-in-law, Tim and Lana McGrath, Fort McMurray, AB.; several
nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her father-in-law, Arthur
McGrath. Funeral service will be held in St. John’s United
Church, Sherbrooke, on Thursday, June 20th at 2
p.m. with Rev. Derek Elsworth officiating. Interment to follow in Wine
Harbour Cemetery. Reception in Sonora/St. Mary’s River
Community Center. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to Wine Harbour Cemetery Fund.
