Lorna Juanita Cashin
Cashin, Lorna Juanita Age 68, of Port Felix, Guysborough County passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at home. Born in Charlos Cove, she was a daughter of the late John and Lena (Casey) Doiron. Lorna was a hard worker, a published author of a book of poetry, worked at Sea Freeze Fish Plant, Canso, a school custodian, and fished with her late husband Roddie until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrylynn Cashin (Scott MacDonnell), Truro; grandson, Devin Cashin (Amanda Isenor); her fur grandbabies; sisters, Shirley (Joe) Pettipas; Bertha Doiron; brothers, Frank (Marilyn) Doiron, Kenneth (Eileen) Doiron; many nieces, nephews and their families. Lorna was predeceased by her husband, Roddie; sister, Rita; brothers, Russell and Emmie. Visitation will be held Friday from 7-8 p.m. followed by an Irish Wake in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Port Felix. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Port Felix with Sister Florence MacKenzie officiating. Family flowers only please.
