COOKE, Arnold Errington "Arnie", Age 67, Country Harbour, Guysborough County, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, as a result of complications due to Fabry Disease and renal failure. Born in Isaac’s Harbour, he was a son of the late Edison and Bertha (Langille) Cooke. Arnie was a sailor on the HMCS Sackville for 6 years. He was a mobile home technician for a number of years; salesman for Perfection Dairy for 8 years. Arnie later owned and operated his own dairy franchise for Perfection Dairy before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, Jason Cooke (Cher Trueman), Matthew (Julia) Cooke, Jason (Anne) Ulley; daughter, Taryn (Grant) Crevier; grandchildren, Haydden, Jewel, Victoria, Kylie, Austin, Jade, Keegan and Hayley; sisters, Verna (Arthur) Steeves, New Glasgow; Joyce Avery, Halifax; Cindy (James) Parsons, Port Hilford; brothers, Albert, Sherbrooke; Raymond (Gladys), Goldboro; David (Cherry), Calgary, Alb.; sisters-in-law, Carrie, Moncton, N.B.; Maxine, Sackville, N.B.; Florence, Isaac’s Harbour; Patsy, Halifax; many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by brothers, Douglas, Cecil, Allan, Jack, Howard (Nancy), Bud; sisters, Ileen (Richard) Hudson, Alice (Lawrence) Peters, Florence (Russell) Munroe; brother-in-law, Wilson Avery and sister-in-law, Margaret Cooke. A Celebration of Arnie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Country Harbour Gun Club with Lewis MacIntosh presiding. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Fabry Association or The Kidney Foundation of Canada. A special thank you to Dr. Michael West and Staff of Division of Nephrology, Dalhousie University; nurses from Bayshore HealthCare and InnomarClinics; Home Dialysis in Halifax, the Dialysis Unit in Antigonish and all the doctors and nurses in Palliative Care at St. Martha’s.  Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
