Varga (Rhynold), Gail Anne Age
68, of Whitehead, Guysborough County, passed away peacefully at home
Thursday, October 3, 2019 in Scotsburn, Pictou County, surrounded by
her loved ones. She was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Dorothy
(Shelburne) Brown. Gail was born and raised in Toronto. She started
her working life at Bell Canada, then Network Engineering and
Whitehead Consultants LTD., and Whitehead Harbour Authority. She
volunteered at Three Top Fire Department, Whitehead. Gail is loved and
will be missed by her family and friends and her 2 puppy dogs Roxy and
Lily. She is survived by her son, Justin (Christina) Varga, Barrie
Ont; grandson Owen Varga; sister, Helen Chinnery; brother, William
Brown; her Rhynold family, Maureen, Lee, Jerry, Lindsay, Harvey,
Wilson; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
her brother Norman Odam. Funeral service will be held Tuesday October
8, 2019 at 11am in Whitehaven Community Centre, Whitehead with Lewis
MacIntosh officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial
will take place at a later date in Toronto. Family flowers only
please. Memorial donations may be made to The Lodge that Gives. Gail
left instructions to express her great appreciation to Maureen
Rhynold, Claude Gagne, Janice Hendsbee, Donna Rhynold, and the rest of
the Rhynold Family; also she wanted to thank the staff at the Canso
Hospital; the staff of the Palliative care unit at Aberdeen Hospital,
New Glasgow; her niece, Annette Smits; VON of Pictou County; special
in home nurses, Lee Ann, Allison and Lucy; and her Nanny from
Newfoundland Bernie (Bernadine). Funeral arrangements are under the
