Moore, Robert "Bob" James
Age 86 of Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., passed away
peacefully in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough with
his three daughters by his side, on Monday, November 4, 2019. Born in
Antrim, Halifax Co., on June 17, 1933, he was a son of the late Henry
and Mary (Dillman) Moore. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War, Army
Unit RCASC and a long-standing member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch
117, Torbay. He was also a member of the Welders and Pipe Fitters
Union 56 in Halifax and Antigonish. In his retirement, he was a Jack
of all trades and avid gardener. He is survived by his daughters,
Susan (Paul) Buckley, Seafoam; Darlene (Gordie) Pettipas, Marlene
(Val) Richard both of Charlos Cove; grandchildren, Robert, Jacquelene
(Patrick), Adam (Carrie), and Josh (Jessica); great-grandchildren,
Alex and Lily; siblings, Henry (Jean), Margaret, Edgar (Linda), Rita,
Nina (Harold), Richard (June),Clara; and many beloved nieces, nephews
and their families. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years,
Dorothy Mae (Pelrine), brothers, Anthony, George, Ronald; and sister,
Freda in infancy. Special thanks to the doctors and staff in Milford
Haven Home for Special Care. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. in Communities Along the Bay Multipurpose Centre,
Bradford Pellerin Room, Larry's River. Funeral service will be held
Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Charlos Cove with Rev.
Callistus Abazie officiating. Interment to follow in St.
Joseph’s Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
