Kirk, Cecelia Ann Age 79 of
Glenelg, Guysborough County passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 in
St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Country
Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Hudson)
Hines. Cecelia had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing darts,
cards, bingo and doing word puzzles. She was interested in knowing
everything about everyone and would ask questions like an interviewer.
Cecelia is survived by daughters, Heather, Antigonish; Cindy, Calgary;
Joni (Doug), Aspen; Colleen, Alberta; sons, Stephen, Antigonish; Danny
(Kalysa), Glenelg; grandchildren, Kasey, Megan, Lisa, Chelsea, Dawson,
Ashton, David, Kevin, Cindy, Allen, Norman, Samar, several
great-grandchildren; sisters, Verna Styger, Maisie Phinney, Tootsie
(Bobby) Cunningham, Ethel (Scott) MacDonald; brothers, Clancy (Helen),
Walter (Jeannette), Delbert, Gordon (Helen); sister-in-law, Helen;
many nieces, nephews and their families. Cecelia was predeceased by
her husband, Graham; brother, Bruce; brothers-in-law, Clint Phinney,
John Styger, Howard Kirk; sister-in-law, Eileen. Visitation will be
held Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Kirk Memorial United Church,
Aspen, from where funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Derek Elsworth officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery,
Glenelg. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Association of
