Jack, Donald Clayton "Donnie" Age 84 of Antigonish, and formerly of Sonora, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 21, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born November 1, 1935, in Sonora, Guysborough Co.; he was a son of the late Clayton and Cecelia (Cole) Jack. In his younger years, Donnie worked in the woods and as a fisherman. He was later employed at the Victoria General Hospital in the stores department for twenty years. Donnie enjoyed hunting and fishing; he will be remembered for fishing in the river with his bamboo fishing pole. He loved spending time in nature, gardening, listening to music, watching hockey and boxing, telling and playing practical jokes, as well as playing a good game of Crokinole.  He loved animals, especially dogs, and spending time with family and friends. Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Christa; daughters, Erika (Bill), Marika; nephew, Darryl; grandsons, Parker and Donnie, Jack and Liam; sisters, Yvonne Brenton (Jack MacNeil), Bridgewater; Loreen Legge, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews, and dear aunt, Joyce Metzler, Canning. Donnie was predeceased by sisters, Marguerite and Marlene in infancy. Donations in Donnie’s memory may be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation. The family wish to extend sincere gratitude to those involved in Donnie’s care; especially Dr. Emily Rice, and the many special nurses and staff who brightened his final days with their kindness.
