Rudolph, Ruth Celia It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mum, age 87, formerly of Larry’s River, Guysborough Co., which occurred Thursday, April 30, 2020, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish with family as close as we could be with FaceTime. Born on January 29, 1933 in Borneo, she was a daughter of the late Parker and Lillian (Sponagle) Darr. Mum was very active through the years with Eastern Star Lodge. As many would say, she was active making bread and biscuits and always had a cup of tea to go with them for anyone that stopped by. She is survived by sons, Warren (Carol), Mill Bay, B.C.; Karl, Antigonish; daughter, Amelda (Jim), Middle Sackville; grandchildren, Danielle, Beverley (Tim), TJ (Joanne); 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Stewart (Ellen) Darr, Shoal Lake, Man.; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; daughter-in-law, Diane; grandson, Joel; and niece, Donna (Darr) Hogg. A special thank you to all the staff of the R.K. MacDonald for the kindness and compassion they gave to mum during her time there. She always had very kind words for each and every one of you. Due to Covid 19, a funeral service and interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Port Bickerton, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home or charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, 17545 Hwy 316, Country Harbour. On-line condolences may be made at www.gwgiffin.com.
