Pinkham, Jessie Pauline Age 89, of Port Bickerton and formerly of Coddles Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away at home on Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa (Sangster) Manthorne.  Jessie was born in Seal Harbour and attended school there. She attended Normal College, Truro, in 1952-53 and taught school for 34 years in nearby communities. She took part time courses at ST.F.X., evenings, Saturdays and during summer vacation graduating in 1981 with her BA and BEd. degrees, retiring in 1988. She is survived by her son, Steven (Hazel), New Harbour; grandson, Jason, Guysborough; great-grandsons, Dylan and Spencer; brothers, Archie (Wyna), Seal Harbour; Carl (Beverly), Country Harbour; Frank, Seal Harbour; Wade (Debbie), Lawrencetown; sisters, Marie (Harold) Kaiser, Port Bickerton; June Hudson, Halifax; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Bedford; brothers, Milford, Colburne; sister, Gloria Riley; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Pinkham. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cemetery Improvement Association of New Harbour. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in Harbourview Community Centre, New Harbour from where funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Social distancing protocols must be followed and masks are mandatory for the visitation and funeral service. Attendees will be asked to provide their name and phone number at the Community Centre. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
