Pauls, Richard Ivan "Rick" Age 64 of Goshen, Guysborough County passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born at home in Seabright, Halifax County, he was a son of the late Ivan and Kathleen (Molly) Pauls. Rick was a car salesman in New Glasgow, having worked for many of the dealerships over the years. He retired to be the "Eight Island Lake Supervisor", loving life at the lake, his speed boat, which was his favored toy, passing time working on the property or fishing. He is survived by his wife, Linda (MacLean); sons, Robert (Melanie), Heatherton; Kyle (Tamara), New Glasgow; grandsons, Logan and Keegan; sisters, Connie (Aubrey) Manuel, Halifax; Carolyn Pauls (Ron), Victoria, B.C.; special aunt, Pat Boutilier, special sister-in-law, Marie MacDonald; Wayne (Melinda) Pauls, who he thought of as a brother; many aunts, uncles, nieces; nephews and their families; and his dog Gracie. He was predeceased by an infant son, John Richard. Donations in Rick’s memory may be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
