Sadly, with heavy hearts, we announce that Fred Gammon passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Thursday October 15th.  He was in his 79th year.  He was born and died in Tor Bay, Nova Scotia, a place he loved and in turn, loved by many of his family members.  He was a quiet and gentle man, but could be very witty when you least expected it.  He loved to work around the house, in the garage and always had many projects on the go.  He loved gardening and working outside on his backhoe.  Fred is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Jennifer (John), Chris (Karry-Ann), Dave (Danielle), grandchildren, Jamie, Grace, Ross, Danika (Bradley), Zack, Tristan, Ella, Noah, Jasmine, Carlene, Jackson, Abby, Gregory; great grandchildren, Abel, Arizona and Charlie.  Fred is survived by his brother, Ronnie (Jeanne), niece, Kathy; nephew, Steven (Catherine); special sister-in-law, Sue Bourne, nephews, Sam and Charlie.  Remembered by his cousin, Lorne (Wanda) Jamieson. Donations in Fred's memory can be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.  There will be no visitation or funeral at Fred's request.  Arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
