Sponagle, Harvey Herman Age 81,
of Goldboro, Guysborough Co., passed away with his family by his side
on Monday, November 16, 2020 in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Goldboro, he was a son of the late
Vernon and Mabel (Kaiser) Sponagle. Harvey worked at many jobs
throughout the years; pulpcutter, sailed on the Great Lakes, on the
power lines, surveyor, diamond driller and Mersey Seafoods. He is
survived by his partner, Pat Carson; her sons, Russell and Danny;
daughters, Darlene (Reggie) Langley, Isaac’s Harbour;
Veronica (Richard), Digby; grandchildren, Vanessa (Zachary)
Miller, Braelena (Tyler), Harvey (Shawna), Justin, Stephanie;
great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jack, Denver, Esmae, Layla, Ryan;
brother, Purvis, Isaac’s Harbour; sister, Juanita Shaw,
Truro; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased
by his wife, Adene (Baker); brother, Wilfred; sister, Marion MacLennan
and Alice in infancy. A graveside service for family and friends will
be held Saturday, November 28th at 1 p.m. in
Bayview Cemetery, Goldboro with Pastor Scott Chandler officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Harvey’s family.
