Daryl Alfred Rogers
ROGERS, Daryl Alfred (55), Giants Lake, Guysborough Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday January 22, 2012 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was a son of the late Alfred and Betty (Kellar) Rogers.
Daryl worked as a welder for many years at Stelco in Hamilton, Ontario before moving to Giants Lake four years ago. He loved all types of sports and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was a Boy Scout Leader for 23 years. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, sons Bryan (Michelle) & Danny, Hamilton, Ontario; Christopher (Katrina), Fredericton, N.B.; Johnathan (Haylee),Giants lake; brother, Rick (Karen), Hamilton, Ontario; sisters, Cindy (Don) Campbell, Stoney Creek, Ontario; Kim (Mike) Reinhart, Hamilton, Ontario; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday January 30th at 2 p.m. in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. No flowers please. Memorial donations may be made to the Scleroderma Society of Canada or Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of the G.W.
