Munroe, Velma Christina Age 62, of Lower Whitehead, Guysborough Co., It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife and mother on July 29, 2014, in the V.G. Site, QEII, Halifax.   Born in Lower Whitehead, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Muriel (Hendsbee) Rhynold. Velma worked at Sea Freeze Fish Plant, Canso for many years. She always looked forward to camping and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She gained great pleasure from volunteering in her community. Velma is survived by her husband of 42 years, Garfield; daughter, Corinna (Glenn), Valley; son, Eric (Deanna), Halifax; brothers, Lee (Bridget), Ontario, Jerry (Leona), Country Harbour, Lindsay, Indian Harbour Lake, Harvey (Annette) Dartmouth, Wilson (Trudi), River John, Fred, Whitehead; sisters, Maureen (Claude), Fort McMurray, Angela Duquette, Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant sister, Bonnie. Visitation will be held in Whitehaven Community Center, Whitehead, Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. from where funeral service will be held Monday at 11 A.M., with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in the Whitehead Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or a charity of your choice.
