Hurley, Jeannie Age 79, of Port Bickerton, passed away in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke, September 24, 2014. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late John and Nancy (McFarland) Hughes. Jean came to Canada in 1966 moving to Port Bickerton 18 years ago. Jean is survived by her, daughter, Eileen Hurley, Port Bickerton; son, Michael (Leslie), Courtice, Ont.; grandchildren, Katie, Samantha, Matthew, Megan. She was predeceased by husband, Michael and son, Paul. In keeping with Jean’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A special prayer and music will be offered following Mass in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sherbrooke, on Sunday, September 28, with Father Syd Mifflen. Donations may be made to St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Jean’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to Jean during her stay there.
