Luddington, Annie Evelyn, Age 99 of New Harbour passed away December 21, 2014, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, with her family at her side. Born in Pugwash Junction, she was a daughter of the Samuel and Lavina (Purdy) McKim. Annie met John Luddington, a widower from New Harbour, through a correspondence club. They were married and Annie held helped raise her step-children Keith and Helen and their son Carl. Annie was a homemaker, who liked to crochet, knit, sew and helping make quilts. She also remembered stamp collecting many years ago. Annie was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society of the Baptist Church. Annie is survived by son, Carl (Shirley); step-children, Keith (Bessie) and Helen; grandchildren, Wayne (Sandy), Valerie (Elroy), William (Joann) Samuel (Joelene), Robert (Holly), Howard (Susan); great-grandchildren, Doug, Keith, Jeremy, Cory, Emily, Duncan, Jake, Jordan, Lyla; great-great-grandchildren, Bethany, Trinity, Layla; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John; sisters, Beatrice and Florence McKim, daughter-in-law, Shirley. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-9 p.m. in New Harbour Baptist Church, from where funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Morley Shaw officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Harbour Baptist Church or the International Christian Missionary Society. Annie’s family would like to thank the staff of Milford Haven Home for Special care for the love and compassion shown to her for the past 6 ½ years.  We are eternally grateful for the care given to her.
