Sponagle, Joan Marie, Isaac’s Harbour, Guysborough County passed away suddenly in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke on Tuesday May 19, 2015. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Jollimore) Cook. Joan dearly loved her family, living near the ocean, gardening and flowers. She is survived by her loving husband, Purvis; children, Cheryl, Karen and John; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Kevin and Gary Cook; several nieces. She was predeceased by sister, Peggy Mickler. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 until time of funeral at 1p.m. in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour with Rev. Dr. Morley Shaw officiating. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
