Robar, Gloria Jane, Age 90 of
Country Harbour, Guysborough County passed away, with her family by
her side, on July 15, 2015, in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital,
Sherbrooke. Born in Stormont, she was a daughter of the late Everett
and Levedna (Hazeldine) Hallett. Gloria was a devoted mom. She was a
wonderful baker; her bread was enjoyed by many. She loved to knit,
crochet, do crafts, play cards and go to Bingo. Gloria was the last
surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by sons,
Johnnie, Antigonish; Eugene, at home; Ronald Barry (Marilyn),
Dartmouth; Kevin, Dartmouth; David at home; daughters, Paulette
(Fraser), New Glasgow; Darlene (Dale), Eight Island Lake; Dana (Ken),
New Glasgow; grandchildren; Ricky, Tracy, Andrea, Marsha, Cheryl,
Connie, Amanda, Craig, Crystal, Candice and 17 great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Sterling.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-9 p.m. in G.W.
Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour with funeral Sunday at 11 a.m. in
Stormont Union Church with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Committal to
follow in the Stormont Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial
donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the
