MASON, Phyllis Gwendolyn Age79, of Borneo, Guysborough County, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, in High-Crest Sherbooke Home for Special Care. Born in Drumhead, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Nellie (Burke) Burke. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved kids, traveling, camping and folk music. She had many jobs throughout her life including; bus driver, fish plant worker, cooking and care giver all done with a smile and on time. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of Goshen Gospel Church. Phyllis is survived by, sons, Gary (Alice), Cambridge, Ont.; Allan (Ann), Borneo; daughters, Denise (Freeman) Dunlap, Antigonish; Patty (Richard) Riley, Indian Harbour Lake; Pat (Sandy) Stewart, Antigonish; sister, Madeline Burke, Florida; grandchildren, Sharon, Jennifer, Connie, Jade, Candace, Mackenzie, Mark, Ryan, Matt, Darren, Sandra, Breah, Owen; great-granddaughter, Hope; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fulton; sister, Bernice Mason; brothers, Wendell, Dean, and Maynard. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2pm in Goshen Gospel Church with Pastor Chesley MacKenzie officiating. Burial at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Nova Scotia, Goshen Gospel Church or a charity of your choice.
