Luddington, Debra Lynn "Debbie" Age 63, of New Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away Sunday April 25, 2021 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital with her loving husband of 43 years by her side. Born in Parent, Quebec, she was a daughter of Eva (Wright) and the late Grant Pirie. Debbie was steadfast in her faith.  She was a pillar within the church community, taking on many rolls throughout the years.  She was a youth group leader; led a women’s bible study group; worship leader, secretary, treasurer and Sunday School teacher. She was honored to obtain her Ministry license in 2001. Debbie was a devoted wife and mother staying home to raise her three daughters. The aroma of fresh baked foods often hung over the community of New Harbour. Her door was always open and the house was constantly filled with love and the laughter of friends and family.  She will fondly be remembered for her delicious Christmas donuts, which Eric will now need to carry on the tradition. Heaven now has a new angel who will be forever missed. She is survived by her  husband, Eric; daughters, Erica (Chris) Evans, Joni (Matthew) Keeping,  Lydia (Robbie) Comar, all of Timberlea;  grandson, Bradley Comar; brothers, Randy (Joyce) Pirie, Moncton, N.B.; David (Vonnie) Pirie, Coddles Harbour; Paul (Maureen) Pirie, McAdam, N.B.; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Pirie in infancy; father and mother-in-law, Aubrey and Eileen Luddington. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held Thursday in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour with Pastor Scott Chandler and Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, 17545 Highway 316, Country Harbour. Online condolences may be made at www.gwgiffin.com.
