A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 24th at 1 p.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larry's River with Rev. Callistus Abazie officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery.

 

Pellerin, Doris Marie  Age 82, Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, Eastern Passage and formerly of Larry's River, Guysborough County, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Born in Charlos Cove, on December 28, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Richard) Levangie. Doris worked as a hairdresser at numerous salons and from home prior, to her illness. Mom was a devout Catholic and very active in her parish of St Peter's. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and picking any berry that was in season. Mom always had a pot of tea on the stove and welcomed anyone to her home day or night. Doris is survived by her sons, Shawn (Connie), Andre’ (Donna), Jason (Bianca); grandchildren, Kyle (Katie), Jenna (Spencer), Anna, Gianna, Logan, Jacob, Liam; great-granddaughters, Maelle, Evelyn; sisters, Rita, Shirley (Raymond); brother, Ron (Anne); several nieces, nephews and their families. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Roland; sister, Perle; brothers, Basil, Joseph and Charles in infancy. Cremation has taken place and due to Covid 19 restrictions, a funeral service and interment will be held at a later date in St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larry's River.  A special thank-you to the staff at Ocean View for the care and compassion given to Mom for the last 11 years.
