Bryden, Robert Chesley Gordon, Age 82, of Country Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away peacefully, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Gladys (Hawdbolt) Bryden. Robert loved fishing at the Tom-Man Lake; hunting at Injun River with his son, brothers and nephews. He was happy at the cabin by the river with a crowd that he could cook for. He liked to make things for his family like a rocking chair or coffee table made from copper pipe or doing carpentry projects for them. He had a boat and dove for scallops. Robert was a burner technician, electrician and plumber. He is survived by his children, Carla Bryden, Goshen; Darlene (Angus) Hodgson, Borneo; Bobby (Hope) Bryden, Goshen; grandchildren, Reid (Cathy), Murray (Lisa), Sara (Darren), Kyle (Jon), Erin, Jeremy (Jensyn), Kurtis (Amy), Kelly-Anne (Stephen), great-grandchildren, Michael, Cole, Caiden, Jacob; Mackenzie, Jillian, Riley, Brenna, Rory, Tomas; brother, George (Mabel); sisters-in-law, Kay, Alice, Marg; brothers-in-law, Wade (Linda) Keith, Jackie (Marjorie) Keith; many nieces, nephews and their families. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Keith), brothers, Kenneth (Patsy); Reginald; Allen and Findlay. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery with Lewis MacIntosh officiating. Family flowers only please.
