Luddington, Shirley Marie Age 77, of New Harbour, Guysborough County, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, with her family at her side. Born in Dort’s Cove, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith (Dort) Kirby. Shirley and her husband, Carl, shared 61 years of married life. She enjoyed working at and attending races at Riverside Speedway, spending time with her grandchildren, and driving throughout Nova Scotia with Carl, especially their trips to Cape Breton. Shirley is survived by her husband, Carl, sons, William (Joann and Jake the dog), Samuel (Stacey), Robert (Holly); grandchildren, Jake, Lyla, Jordan, Dillion, Parker, Mary, the twins, Annie and Robbie, sister, Marjorie Lewis; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by sisters, June, Vera, and Joyce in infancy; and brother, Leland. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour with Rev.
