Feltmate, Murray Cummings Age
86, of Goshen, Guysborough
County, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday,
July 9, 2021, in the R. K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born in
Lochaber, he was a son of the late Seward and Elizabeth
"Tiny" (Cummings) Feltmate. Murray lived and worked
in Goshen his entire life, growing blueberries and Christmas trees as
well as working in the pulpwood and trucking industry. He is survived
by his wife of 62 years, Nellie (Mason); children, Debbie(Steven),
Barry(Joy), Ardith(Mark), Susan(Raymond), Shelly(Larry); much loved by
his grandchildren, Jordan(Sarah), Rachel, Bethany, Sarah, Kelsie,
Eryn; 3 great-grandsons, Saul, Mikhail, Bryson; sisters-in-law, Vera
Feltmate, Joyce Feltmate, Minnie Feltmate, Nan Feltmate, Joyce
Feltmate, Edith Murphy, Janet(Louis) Butts, Linda Mason; several
nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his 6 older
brothers, Arthur, Gordon, Merritt, Rev. Donald, Harold and Chesley;
grandson, Peter Archibald, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Muriel
Feltmate, Lina(Stewart) Caddell, Doris(Robert) Sutherland, Roxey(Theo)
Benoit, Andy Murphy, and Leonard Mason. Visitation will be held
Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Goshen Community Centre. A
family funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Goshen
Gospel Church with Pastor John Luten officiating, followed by
interment in Sunset Cemetery, Argyle. All COVID-19 guidelines will be
followed for the visitation and funeral service and face masks are
required. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made
to Goshen Gospel Church, Sunset Cemetery or The R.K. MacDonald Nursing
Home Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. David Cudmore,
staff at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital and the staff at
R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home for the exemplary care given to Murray.
