George, William "Billy" Thomas Age 74 of Antigonish, and formerly of Manassette Lake, Guysborough County passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. He was a son of the late Delbert and Eva (Carter) George. Billy worked at various jobs over the years including: at the fish plant in Mulgrave, cutting pulpwood, Shur-Gain Feeds and Needs and Brookfield Creamery. He loved fishing, playing cards and was known for being a collector of small things. Billy is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Sinclair (David), St. Andrews; stepson, Michael Patton, Ajax, Ontario; stepdaughter, Christina Forest, Montreal, Quebec; brothers, Albert (Giselle), Onslow; Allison (Gail), Belmont; Lewis (Marina), Manassette Lake; Jimmy (Gail), Antigonish; sister, Peggy Dacy, Moncton, N.B.; many loving nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by brothers, Gordon; Robert in infancy; sisters, Victoria Hendsbee and Agatha Poutney. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in Wesley United Church, Guysborough from where funeral service will take place Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leif Vaage  officiating. Interment at a later date in Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Hadleyville.. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Hadleyville or just do a good deed or lend a hand of help to someone along your way. The family requests that masks be worn for the visitation and funeral service. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
