George, William "Billy"
Thomas Age 74 of Antigonish, and formerly of Manassette
Lake, Guysborough County passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, in the
R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. He was a son of the late
Delbert and Eva (Carter) George. Billy worked at various jobs over the
years including: at the fish plant in Mulgrave, cutting pulpwood,
Shur-Gain Feeds and Needs and Brookfield Creamery. He loved fishing,
playing cards and was known for being a collector of small things.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Sinclair (David), St.
Andrews; stepson, Michael Patton, Ajax, Ontario; stepdaughter,
Christina Forest, Montreal, Quebec; brothers, Albert (Giselle),
Onslow; Allison (Gail), Belmont; Lewis (Marina), Manassette Lake;
Jimmy (Gail), Antigonish; sister, Peggy Dacy, Moncton, N.B.; many
loving nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by
brothers, Gordon; Robert in infancy; sisters, Victoria Hendsbee and
Agatha Poutney. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in
Wesley United Church, Guysborough from where
funeral service will take place Friday at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Leif Vaage officiating. Interment at a later date in
Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Hadleyville.. Family flowers
only please. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican
Church Cemetery, Hadleyville or just do a good deed or lend a hand of
help to someone along your way. The family requests that masks be worn
for the visitation and funeral service. Funeral arrangements are under
