Robinson, Sandra Jean age 75 of Sonora, Guysborough County. Sandra went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, January 16, 2023, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site. She was a daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (Burns) Mailman. Sandra was supervisor of Quality Control at Bickerton Industries for many years; an interpreter at Historic Sherbrooke Village and a custodian at St. Mary’s Education Centre/Academy. Sandra was a tireless volunteer and supporter of the Sonora/St. Mary’s River Community Center, a faithful member of Calvary Faith Baptist Church and The Ladies Missionary Aid. She had a firm belief in eternal salvation and forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. She never knew a stranger. She was so friendly and welcomed anyone and everyone to the community and her home. Sandra loved gardening and birds. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bobby", children, Jeannie Jack, Stephen (Joan) Robinson, Keith (Gail) Robinson; grandsons, Dion (Jodi), Josh (Emily), Nick, special granddaughter, Katelyn, great-grandchildren, Kessler, Sawyer, Jayden, Jayce; brothers, Stanley Mailman, Blain (Elaine) Mailman, several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by a sister, Faye Mailman, son-in-law, Fred Jack and sister-in-law, Marilyn Mailman. Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in Calvary Faith Baptist Church, Sonora with Pastor Wayne Bray officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Sonora. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Faith Baptist Church or the Sonora/St. Mary’s River Community Center. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., St. Mary's Chapel, 34 Main Street, Sherbrooke.
