With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Robert Gordon Pettipas of Charlos Cove on March 2nd, 2023, in the QE II Hospital, Halifax. Robert, born on January 4th, 1978, was a sweet and kind person who brought joy to everyone who knew him. He is well known for his cheerfulness, contagious laugh, and his smile that would brighten anyone's day. He had a love for word puzzles, the Toronto Maple Leafs and music. He would sing along to any song he heard. Robert never forgot a birthday or a face; he would see someone he knew no matter where he went. Robert has been attending G.O.A.L.S for 23 years and has enjoyed many events and adventures with his friends over the years. His favorites were bowling and Special Olympics, where he loved to celebrate with a dance. He will lovingly be remembered by his mother, Marlene; sister, Jacquelene (Patrick); stepfather, Val; father, Robert (Kim) and his adored niece and nephew, Lily and Alex; his grandmother, Beatrice; godmother, Susan (Paul); godfather, Gordon (Darlene); special buddy, Harvey and many aunts, uncles, cousins and so many "buddies." He was loved by many and will be greatly missed, especially by his puppies that he took such good care of. Robert was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Moore and paternal grandfather, Gordon Pettipas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday March 8th at 11:00 a.m. in The Communities Along the Bay Centre, Larry's River with Lewis MacIntosh officiating, followed by a reception. Interment will take place at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to G.O.A.L.S. 60 Green St. Guysborough, N.S. B0H 1N0. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, 17545 Highway 316, Country Harbour.
