NICKERSON, Bradley Wilson Age 70 of New Harbour, Guysborough County, passed away unexpectedly in New Harbour, on September 13, 2023. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of the late Wilson and Norma (Gillie) Nickerson. Family was the most important thing in Bradley’s life. He was a faithful member of the New Harbour United Baptist Church, he loved his community and was always first to volunteer. He enjoyed visiting people in the local area with many long chats. Bradley retired in December 2021 after 37 years from his mink farm, which he built with his family. He was a past board member of BDC in Guysborough and volunteered with Camp Holmestead. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling the world talking to people and making friends with everyone he met. Because of Bradley’s passion for doing for others and foster parenting, love and safety for many children were provided. Bradley is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Glenda (Van Ee); sons, Colin (Sheila), New Harbour; Ian (Paula Canning), New Harbour; daughters, Wanda (Brendon Ellsworth), Charlottetown, PEI; Melissa Barnett, Guysborough; grandchildren, Isaac, Sadie, Lux, Julie, Leaha, Joshua; sisters, Nina (John) Long, Miramichi, NB; Diane (Kelvin) Bhola, Dartmouth; Sharon (Ronald) Ringer, Dartmouth; many  nephews and nieces and their families. Family grew to include son John Lyons, South Side Harbour. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. with funeral service at 3 p.m. in New Harbour United Baptist Church with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Reception to follow in the New Harbour Community Center. Memorial donations may be made to the Cemetery Improvement Association of New Harbour or Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, 17545 Highway 316, Country Harbour.
