BUTTS, Charlie Leonard age 82 of Liscomb, Guysborough County passed away quietly on Monday, March, 18, 2024 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke due to a brief fight with lung cancer. He was a son of the late William Butts and Mildred French. Charlie worked in Ontario doing construction; maintenance at Yorkdale Shopping Centre; fishing on the Big Riggers in Port Bickerton; later doing small engine repairs in Liscomb and surrounding communities. He loved fishing and loved tinkering on small engines. He most certainly loved helping people and was well known for his sense of humour. Charlie leaves behind his loving wife, Carol; children, Angie (Steve) Isley; Jen (Stacy) Mullett; stepchildren, Christine and Tracey; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; niece and nephew, Karen and Barry Ford; many brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his sister, Hazel Rudolph. In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family would like to thank the wonderful Staff at St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke and the awesome Community of Liscomb for all their help during this time. Arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., St. Mary's Chapel, 34 Main Street, Sherbrooke.
