GRAHAM, Donald
James "Tink" age 89 of Glenelg, Guysborough
County passed away on Tuesday, March, 19, 2024 in St. Mary’s
Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. He was a son of the late Nina
Redmond. Tink left home at the age of 14 to work on Sable Island. He
joined the military and served with the Black Watch Royal Highland
Regiment for 3 years. He was a tile setter working with several
different companies and later worked as a Commissionaire.
Tink enjoyed curling, darts, fishing, and was an amazing
woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Deanna (McKeen);
sons, Donald (Val), West Dalhousie; Frank, Glenelg; Darcy, Halifax;
daughter, Terri (Al) Cahill, Porters Lake; grandchildren, Kristen
Cahill Lamkin (Ryan ), Erin Cahill (Griffen Whynacht) Charla Lilly
(Bradley), Nathan Graham, Tyler Graham; 8 great-grandchildren;
brother, Keith Redmond, sister, Linda Redmond; several
nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral service will be held
Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m. in Kirk Memorial United Church, Glenelg
with Rev. Derek Elsworth officiating. Memorial donations may be made
to Kirk Memorial United Church. Interment will take place at a later
date. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate
care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., St. Mary's Chapel, 34 Main
Street, Sherbrooke.
