YOUNG, Christopher age 66 of Port Felix, Guysborough County passed away on Saturday, March, 23, 2024 in Port Felix. Born in Piccadilly, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Reginald and Emiline (Hinks) Young. Chris spent 26 years deep sea fishing on draggers out of Halifax and Canso. Chris lobster fished for many years.He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing at his camp.  He and Marie spent much time together. His only grandson, Tobias whom he adored was the light of his life. Chris is survived by his loving partner and best friend, Marie Cashin. He is survived by his children whom he adored with all his heart, sons, Jeremy, Truro; Steven, Springhill; daughter, Emily, Truro; grandson, Tobias; brothers, Albin, Saskatchewan; Reginald Jr., Alberta; Melvin, Newfoundland; Richard, New Brunswick; Glen, British Columbia; Robert, Alberta; Kenny, Newfoundland; sisters, Regina Bartar, Newfoundland; Mary Casamata, Ontario; special nephew, Kenny Young; several nieces, nephews and their families. In keeping with Chris’ wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
