It is
with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Carol
(Redmond) Siteman, 82 of St. Ives, British Columbia, on April 21,
2024, in Mission Hospital, B.C. surrounded by her loved ones. Born in
Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Murdock Redmond and Isabel
Meagher. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister and friend. She had an infectious laugh and was loved by
everyone who knew her. Carol loved to bake and cook; she would spend
her days preparing her family’s favorites. Although she
lived in British Columba, her heart was still in Nova Scotia. Coming
home to see her sisters and friends was the highlight of her year.
Carol loved to spend time in Port Bickerton with her brother-in-law
and sister-in-law, Patsy and Clary as well as the many friends she
made over the years. Carol is survived by daughters, Denise Siteman
(Scott), Mission, B.C.; Michele Quiroga (Colin), St. Ives, B.C.,
sisters, Ernestine (Dean), Bedford; Genevieve, Dartmouth;
grandchildren, Danielle, Dennis, Branden (Cassie), Candace;
great-grandchildren, Ava and Ainslie, who were a very special part of
Carol’s life. She will also be fondly missed by her nieces,
Kelly, Donna, Jeanine, Madeleine, Allie, and nephew, Wesley. Carol
loved to spending time with her special friend, Shelley who will miss
Carol dearly. It goes without mention that her fur baby friend, Arthur
will be lost without Carol too. Carol was predeceased by her husband
of 52 years, Denis Siteman; mother, Isabel; father, Murdock;
stepfather, Ernest Meagher; and brother, James Redmond. Special thanks
to the doctors and nurses at Mission Hospital for Carol’s
care. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, at 2:00 p.m.
in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Port Bickertonwith with
Vickie Keith, LLM officiating. Burial to follow in
Fisherman’s Harbour Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made
