Jordan, Margaret Agnes ~ Age 90, Jordanville, Guysborough Co. passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. Born in Midland, Ont., she was a daughter of the late William "Bill" and Margaret "Nellie" (MacDonald) Carmichael. Margaret was a dedicated home-maker, also a Charter member of the Indian Harbour Lake and Jordanville Women’s Institute where she served as president and secretary for many years. She worked diligently for her community. Margaret loved to sew quilts, knit, crochet, hook mats and gardening. She was a long-time member of St. Thomas Anglican Church. Margaret is survived by; daughters, Jessie (Harold) Webber, Sandra (Asa) Harpell, Linda (Pat) Morris; son; Michael, all of Jordanville; grandchildren, Ricky, Cheryl, Chrissy, Curtis, Stacey, Cory, Matthew, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey (Jean) Carmichael, North Bay, Ont., sister-in-law, Eunice Carmichael, Cambridge, Ont., many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Edison; son Keith, brother; Garnet Carmichael. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Indian Harbour Lake from where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2p.m. with Rev. Marilyn Haugen-Strand officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Indian Harbour Lake. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Anglican Church or Sunset Rest Cemetery, Indian Harbour Lake or a charity of choice. Margaret’s family would like to thank the staff of High-Crest Home for the excellent care of our mother during her 15 month stay there.
